MATS makes every effort to solicit DBE participation for its product and service spending.  Invitations to bid or general requests for information (RFI) are published in the local newspapers and routed through the various DBE liaison offices throughout the state.  Whenever possible, MATS makes pricing inquiries directly to the DBEs listed on the Alabama Department of Transportation’s (ALDOT’s) Certified DBE Bid List for both large and small purchases.
