MATS makes every effort to solicit DBE participation for its product and service spending. Invitations to bid or general requests for information (RFI) are published in the local newspapers and routed through the various DBE liaison offices throughout the state. Whenever possible, MATS makes pricing inquiries directly to the DBEs listed on the Alabama Department of Transportation’s (ALDOT’s) Certified DBE Bid List for both large and small purchases.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP)
The City of Montgomery/Montgomery Area Transit System is soliciting proposals, priced on a firm fixed price basis to provide and implement a PUBLIC TRANSIT INTELLIGENT TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM.
Submission Deadline Extended to July, 21 2008 Last day to submit questions extended to July 14, 2008.
In accordance with the evaluation procedures set forth in the RFP Montgomery Area Transit System PUBLIC TRANSIT INTELLIGENT TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS AND RELATED SERVICES
Section 6.2 , we are pleased to announce that Phases I, II and III of the evaluation are complete. Furthermore, due to the excellent documentation and thoroughness of the RFP’s we are awarding all bidders the full amount of points possible (25) with respect to section IV Demonstration.
The final evaluative section, Phase V pricing, will take place at MATS 2318 W. Fairview Ave. Montgomery, AL 36108 on Tuesday, August 12th 2008 at 9:00am. Bidders need not be present but may attend if they so choose. However, the pricing will not be announced at this time.
