Service
M.A.T.S. provides fixed route and paratransit service within city limits of Montgomery Alabama. The fixed route system averages 4500 trips daily (more than 1,000,000 trips annually) over approximately 4000 daily route miles. Thirty-four buses serve sixteen (16) fixed routes between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Paratransit service provides 140 daily trips and totals approximately 43,000 annual trips. Paratransit operates 6 days a week from 5:00 am to 9:30 pm, with a fleet of 11 vehicles.
Monthly Passes
MATS offers passes at reduced rates
Passes may be purchased at the M.A.T.S. office located at 2318 W. Fairview Avenue and at the Intermodal Transfer Center on Molton St. The price of the monthly bus passes are $35.00 for regular fare, and $17.50 for students /seniors/disabled.
Entertainment Express
Downtown Express
The Entertainment Express circulates from Old Cloverdale and from Maxwell Air Force Base to the Downtown Entertainment District in Downtown Montgomery Thursday, Friday and Saturday Nights between 6:30 PM and 11:30PM
